| About
us
Fraser Farm lies in the valley of Moon Creek, near Ripon,
Berlin and Green Lake WI and is home to many critters
big and small. We take pride in serving our customers
and providing experiences that will be remembered for
many years. We enjoy seeing kids, parents, grand-parents
and pets on leashes getting into the best of Christmas
spirits while at Fraser Farm.
There is an excitement in the air as kids see the horse
drawn wagon approach from the fields. They anxiously
wait while trees from the previous load are baled at
the baler next to the heated shop. The hot cider will
have to wait now until their family hauls their tree
back to the shop where we enjoy hearing life stories
that have happened during the year, and look forward
to hearing yours.

“Real
Christmas Tree Benefits”
One of the greatest benefits in doing this type of work
is working with mother nature and even more importantly
our customers young and not quite so young. Despite
drought, excess rain, weeds, bee stings, cold and deep
snow, we enjoy watching the tiny trees grow until they
are green, plush and fragrant. More importantly we enjoy
the smiles of anticipation from kids and adults as they
leave our place to decorate the “real Christmas
tree” in their homes continuing the traditions
started by their parents and Grandparents.
Real Christmas trees provide oxygen, bird and animal
habitat, add moisture to your home and are just more
in tune with today’s “Green Movement.”
Growing them keeps us busy and usually out of trouble.
We can also guarantee that our trees do not contain
harmful amounts of lead and that your tree is unique
–because like each of us, each tree has its own
beauty! ALLERGIES: If you have experienced allergies
and believe the cause may be a natural Christmas tree,
it is because of allergens found in the needles, and
on the branches that are naturally occurring in grasses
etc.
Remedy:
To eliminate those allergies, hose off the entire tree
prior to bringing it inside for the Christmas season.
Let it dry, but once inside, make sure it takes up plenty
of water by making a fresh cut on the bottom of the
tree and getting it in water right away. |
Caring
for the Young “uns”-
Since we interplant (plant trees next to the ones cut
the year before ) we ask that you walk parallel with the
rows and cross rows only next to larger trees so that
the little “ones” don’t get trampled.
This is especially important when we have snow which could
completely cover them. We also ask that you try to land
your newly cut tree without landing on an up and coming
tree, pull your tree down the middle of the row as well
if possible, and use care not to get your tree dirty if
we don’t have snow to glide it on. If you need help,
ask one of us to carry your tree for you. |
*Answer
Christmas Tree Stand
We will drill your Christmas tree to make it compatible
with the innovative "Answer Stand: using a tapered
3/8" drill bit. The tree can then stand straight
using a tapered pin stand. Ask us for details and look
for the stands that we have for sale if you need one.

Dates
and Times for 2009
We will open the Friday after Thanksgiving at
9:00 am, and will be open Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays
from 9:30 – 4:00, until December 20th, the Sunday
before Christmas.
We provide saws or you can bring your own. To keep things
quiet, we like to use only hand saws, as the critters
get ornery when there is too much noise out in the fields. |
Fraser
